You have the additional problem of trying to find drivers for the hardware
lock for Vista; I don't know if these exist. You have a Sentinel SuperPro
lock.
Your best bet is to save your old PC and run max there.

I have 3D Studio Max R2.5 running under Windows 2000 Pro. I am happy with
it and don't want to go through the learning curve of a newer version
however I am looking to get a new computer. One issue I see is that many of
the new computers don't have a parallel port. Can anyone suggest in this
situation how I attach my hardware lock via some kind of USB adaptor? Any
ideas would be helpful.
