| SLOW viewport in Vista |

I just got a new Dell Precision 690 Duel Xeon Quad Core with Vista
business...running max 9 SP2 with a NVIDIA Quadro FX 3500 256mb...Using
DirectX9....
The viewports are SLOW!! my scene is about 600 thousand polys...It takes forever
to move anything (I also turned off all the "Aero" settings)
I take the exact same scene with exact same viewport settings to my slower older
machine running XP2 with duel Xeons with inferior Nvidia Quadro FX 1100 128mb
card and Directx9 and it's 10 times faster
WHY??? does anyone have any hints or tips before I return this machine? (tried
Cinema4d as well and it's the same story...VERY SLOW on new machine..fa |
