Mental Ray and IES lights

Anyone got and good advice on lighting a scene with just IES lights?  For
example a nightclub, which has no windows etc.  So basically i would like to
light a scene using the lights that would exist in that scene only.  Any
ideas???  Also what approach do people use when it comes to lighting a outdoor
scene, lets say at night, with IES lights on the buildings etc?  What ki
