I too have recently started using mapped functions for array handling and as a
for/loop replacement. I can't comment on the speed, but it certainly makes my
code more readable and compact. They allow me to re-use my functions more. In
the end it makes the handler area less cluttered - always calling a function on
an "on pressed" cuts down on me scrolling through my scripts
