For full color stereo, and Red-Green, Red-Cyan, Red-Blue anaglyph stereo,
click on www.maxplugins.de (link at bottom of left pane of HTML Webboard) and
search for XIdMary for your version of max.
Google "anaglyph" for sources of glasses.

You can use the 3D Glasses filter in Adobe After Effects which IIRC produces
the right images.
