Is there a command line switch that can be applied to the SERVER.EXE
command
to have it run and immediately minimize itself? I'm using a couple of
"general use" machines as part of the net render farm, with
SERVER.EXE
included in the Startup folder. Users are getting confused as to what this
"Server" thing is that pops up when they restart one or more of the
general
use machines.
I look forward to your response.

You could run it as a service, and then it would be completely invisible to
the average user. Look in the help file for expanded info on how to set
this up.

You can choose minimised as an option within the shortcut's properties:
Start | All Programs | Startup - right-click on the server.exe item, choose
properties, then choose change the Run: option from Normal window to
Minimised
