I'm getting an error during network rendering from the servers connected to
the manager at mobilewebhead:
Output path "\\mobilewebhead\renderings" for
"\\mobilewebhead\renderings\_STP00000_medstation.bmp" could not be
found. This is confusing to me. I
checked the properties for the shared folder and the read-only check box WAS
green indicating some files were set to read-only. So I changed that and hit
apply. The error still comes up. This is on Windows XP (non-Pro), and
for sharing for this folder, I set the "Allow network users to change my
files" checked. Anyone have problems (and a solution) for something like
this?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Mike

Update:
I had the server service running. When I uninstalled one and ran the
server.exe instead, then the rendering works. Something runs very different as
the service.
I think I posted something similar to this in past - sorry if I did, but it
may have been a different problem - anyway, it could be something with the
service running with very little or no user access rights.

the service needs to be setup with a user logon account, ie an account which
can access the shares on the system.. By default a service uses the system
account which does not have rights to read/write to other system's shares.
