Empty File Error in backburner?

Anyone ever gotten an error message like this?

Error receiving new job: Error transferring 'Job Definition File' (empty 
file)

haven't had any problems with our network rendering until this starting 
popping up today... same message from multiple client machines and with 
different files being sent throught the network.

Any clues what to look for?
