Can you be more specific? What tools? If the particles are dying before
hitting the ground, then you need to move the emitter closer or adjust the
Life/Age setting in the Delete operator.

Check the help file, searching "Particle Flow" and
"deflectors"; I don't
think all deflectors are supported. You may need to use a different
type of deflector.

Well I have tried each one and had tried different settings in each to see
the outcome of the scene and some of them do not seam to work, or if they do
then it makes very little difference in the change if any. But still
trying. Thanks Jeff

The Effects and Environment panels now have a Merge button.
Most things should merge OK. Merge the Effect first, I think
that brings in the associated lights...

Thanks Jeff I tried it and it seems everything is ok how ever I did have to
scale up the merged pieces and then move them down towards the side walk.
But that still leaves me with one more question Making lightning, I have been
playing with lighting to try to produce it and I guess I will have to wait
for the entire render to see just how it will work out. If you happen to
know of some thing please let me know. Eddie
