Hi All

We're on our final beta run, doing internal daily builds for the last month and
from next week, a new beta a week is planned. A big client commissioned us to
develop a custom version which caused the delay in releasing v2, but as we built
their custom version on top of v2, everyone's benefited long-term, they've been
testing every day for months and it's stable, looks great and handles giant
complex scenes with complex textures.

I'd love to talk about all of it here, but there are spies for and from
competitors on here so I need to be careful <g>.

I can tell you we have rewritten and optimised rtre for max 8 and 9. It's been a
long-haul to get it even close to release but we're on our final beta testing
run now, and even with good testers helping us, we're still looking for more.

So if you are an rtre user i.e. you understand how we use our helpers and
triggers + you're good at max 8 or preferably 9-32 bit, then you can help us get
it finished, test every feature we support in max, mess with materials as you
would normally (no pub intended) in max, play with animations, get the realism
and yes even high-res look now, try our new dialogs, new interface, kick the
tyres and tell us what's wrong, we want to know you're all happy.

rtre v1.1 continues to be available from our long-time friends at our Publishing
Partner Turbo Squid, and anyone who owns or buys rtre v1.1 before v2 ships will
get a very special upgrade price, well below the published price everyone else
has to pay - plus any beta tester invited to join the programme gets that price
too. If you think you deserve to be a tester but don't have rtre, tell us why.

There will be a price increase for v2. There may even be an annual subscription
but we will deliver more during the year to support that.

New v2 Beta comes out very soon - and it's going to set new standards.

Steven Markham
