Any plugins that begginers need?

Hi, I am really new to 3DS. I have max 9 and I am looking for some info on which
plugins will help me LEARN 3DS easier, and GROW my modelling skills.

I have very little experience in 3D Modelling period. I picked up a book about
it from my school library and just found myself enticed. I tried blender for a
week or so and decided to get some commercial software.

The thing I loved about blender is that there was a free wiki book called noob
to pro that really got you into the program and on your way. I was wondering if
there is such a FREE set of tutorials.
I know there is lots of single tutorials all over AREA but I am looking for a
learning GUIDE. That is taught using the same methods through out the gu
