Dreamscape.... buggy?

Hi

Has anyone had any buggy experiences with dreamscape?

I just downloaded the max 9 32bit demo
(http://www.afterworks.com/demo/DS25R9Demo.exe). I have been working with it for
only a few hours and it is already driving me nuts.

Seems that the interface has a mind of its own, It keeps changing values
arbitrarily. Switching things on and off when it feels like it. I find myself
having to go back and switch things back on, that have suddenly switched
themselves off. Also when I hit render, all the settings change!? I have to
cancel the render and try to remember the settings that I was using before.
There is also a flickering in the interface which is not a problem, but makes me
wonder about the quality of this product and weather anyone has actually tested
it?!

The build is “3.5d DEMO” running on max 9 32bit booster1 on XP64

It makes me despair when I see a product like this, which has SO much potential,
and has obviously had a lot of work done on it (some of the mathematics behind
this, must be nuts!), but is not finished properly, has not been tested
properly,  and is obviously still in Alpha. It seams that the shareholders are
pushing for premature release. I had the same problem with NpowerSoftware, in
the early days. 

When will developers learn that STABILITY IS NUMBER ONE PRIORITY!!! I would
gladly throw away half the fancy features in max and all plugins if you could
guarantee no more buggs! 

I am not a Beta tester, I am a commercial user who demands quality for dollars.
I’m sure there are many others that feel the same.

I am sympathetic of rare bugs, hidden away in there, that take a while to get
rid of. But when the bugs pop out in the first 10 minutes of using the software
(actually whilst doing the tutorials provided in help file)……….I loose my
rag!

Life is complicated enough without having to second guess the software…..

I have emailed afterworks and asked for an up to date demo with no bugs in it.
If I don’t get a response soon I will be investigating other products. Anyone
know of any similar products?
