Hi Nimos100,

You do not have to keep the Unwrap UVW modifier. You can collapse the stack, and
your UVs will not be lost. You can always retrieve the UVs by applying Unwrap
UVW again for editing UVs.

Both OBJ and FBX formats support UV coordinates to be stored in the data.

You can collapse the modifier stack to Editable Poly, delete portion of the
model and save as Max scene. Zip the the scene and upload it. I'll be glad to
take a look at the problem area you mentioned.

The only time I can see UVs getting lost may be if you went below the stack to
your base mesh and changed the vertex order (delete and recreate polys,
sub-divide, etc) *after* unwrapping your UVs.
