No, that should work fine. Each PC is entitled to run the trial once for 30
days. It doesn't matter whether they're networked or not. But that's just
one time, for the life of that PC.
If you are planning a training environment where you need to restore the PCs
from a backup after each class (such as from a partition image), the network
license gives you a lot more flexibility, and will make your life easier.

Hi, I'm doing some games design teaching on a new short course with about 10
students and would like to install the 3dsmax 30 day trial for them to try
out. If all goes well I can hopefully persuade the powers that be to invest
in the software.
Anybody know if there are any problems installing multiple copies of the
trial version on multiple PCs connected across a network?
