well.....i tried what you said but there seem to be problems.
I createed i simple skin with only the envelopes (no vertex painting)...saved
the .env file.
I then tried two things
1. Export the biped to a FBX file and re import it as bones, and then apply a
skin modifier, load the env file and match the names. The envelopes are totally
different that the ones in the original.....
2. Create new bones exactly at the same positions as the biped part and do the
same as above...the effect was the same...corrupted envelopes.......
If i apply a new skin modifier to the biped again and load the .env file
everthing is ok.........so i guess the problem is in the envelopes...........

Is there a way to 'bake' all of the vertices (without vertex painting) so they
are no longer affected by the size and shape of the envelopes but have
