Hello,
There are a lot of ways to place or change the orientation of views, objects,
pivot points, grids, and more...
But to really change it is not possible! There isn't a way to make several axis
presets, to choose which axis preset is currently active...
For instance, when you import an object into MAX it's always related to the one
and only 0,0,0 point in your scene! That's clear, you always know when you
import something it's related to that point. But it seldom is the ideal point to
insert something. So I'd like to change or make some temporary 0,0,0 points for
this goal, not just an active grid point which also can be a little confusing to
use.
And there will be a lot more usabilities for a temporary axis orientation,
probably!
