need a good book on Visual Studio IDE

I need a good book on the Visual Studio development environment that explains
the project and solution files. Would be nice if it also contained information
on Visual SourceSafe and Visual Studio working together.

would also be great if it explained both vs 2003 and vs 2005 but that would
probably be asking too much.

Have a look at Professional Visual Studio 2005. I have a subscription to Books
24x7 and found it to be pretty thorough. Heres a link to it on Amazon, but you
might want to go to a local BN or Borders Books and browse through it and see
what you think first. I would recommending it to your list though.

You might check out this book on Visual Studios:

kCode=wsw&tag=computerprogrammingbooks-20 from what I could see it looks
like it might meet your needs for covering Solution Files and working with
Visual Studio and SourceSafe.

Hope this helps - good luck!

Thank you for the quick response. I have been out for a few days and when I got
back had 2 good reference sites to check out and found both very helpful.

Thanks, Clyde
