| How do I search for public web services? |

Ok clear my understanding on this topic if I am incorrect in my questioning,
because I mostly create internal web services and have no use for publishing web
services for public use. First, if one was to create a web service and want to
publish it publicaly they would do this at www.uddi.org, correct? Shouldn't I be
able to search that website for publically avaliable .asmx web services too? I
can not seem to find a place to search for publically avaliable web services.
For example, I know weather.com must have a web service exposed that allows one
to ping it for weather data based on zip codes. There must be 1000 widgets out
there that show data from weather.com and I would assume it is shown in these
widgets via there pubically exposed web service.
There must also be web services available to get stock quotes based on symbol,
etc.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thank you,
