Enable to set colour for a cell in componentart grid control

I have problem is setting color to a specific cell based on the cell value in
component art grid, I tried using conditional formatting but it sets for entire
row Actually I need to be set for each cell in that column based on value, I
tried adding server template and used a label control it worked fine but as I am
using Running mode as client it does not sort that particular column .   I tried
using a client template and added text html control and tried setting the color
attribute it actually set to first row only, can someone help me out on how I
can access each cell in componentart grid control
