Verify the answer to Secure Password Question?

Hi,

How can I verify the answer provided by a user for the security question. I am
using the Hash Password format. I am using a password recovery control and let
the user to select if he wants to get the UserID emailed or reset the password. 
Password reset is working fine but when user selects to get the UserId I  want
to validate again using the Security Question Answer.

 

I could not find anything on validating password answer in hash format. If
anyone can throw some light on it-that would help.
