PRC Specification
Wed, 7 May 2008 22:01:43 -0700
Hi,

In the Acrobat Implementation of the PDF Specification document, the
Bibliography section says that the PRC specification is available from the
acrobat3d_developer site.

I cannot find the three documents: PRC Format, Geometry Compression Level 2,
Tesselation Compression Level 2.

Could you please give the proper link to these documents?

Thanks,

Dear David,

while not a "proper" link,
PRC Format spec that used to be at
<http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat3d/>
(but is there no more) can be found at <http://www.iaas.msu.ru/tmp/prc/>

Please, post your findings, if any.

Dear Michail,

Thank you for the substitute link.

The PRC spec is there in HTML form. There are also two sample pdf files.

The PRC documentation looks to be in a somewhat preliminary state.

Thanks again for your response - it was most helpful to see what PRC looks like
generally.

Dear David,

as to the spec at the substitute location - I put it there.

As to the state of the PRC documentation -
I was told by certain Adobe Evangelist that:

1) for the foreseeable future the docs will be in the current
"Doxygen" form

2) in some 3+ years PRC may be included in the next round of ISO PDF standard

3) Adobe is not going to hide PRC
