Penguin ebook won't load on my sony reader

I was pleased when I read Penguin books sells ebooks
which can be opened in digital editions and loaded on
my sony reader.
So I downloaded digital editions, registered at Penguin
and bought a book. The rest of the evening was spent going
through a series of infuriating routines at the adobe site
in a fruitless effort to activate the book. I had to register
for a .net password, activate acrobat, whatever. It keeps
popping up windows claiming that I either copied the book
from another computer or got it from someone else. I BOUGHT
the book!!!!
End of the story is that it still cannot be copied to my reader.

If the book is protected, and it certainly sounds like it is, then you can not
currently transfer the book to your Sony Reader. The Sony Reader currently
supports reading only unprotected PDF files.
