I am unable to convert a 12 page PDF file into an html file. I am using Acrobat
Professional 8.1.2 on a Mac Pro w/ 10 Gb RAM.
I have read and followed each of the "Help" items listed in Acrobat
about creating html from a PDF file.
The original file comes to me as 6 double-wide pages in a single PDF file. I
break the file into 12 PDF pages. I assemble the pages with the Combine option
in Acrobat, save the file and finally I export as 3.2 html. The result is that
each page has a large black area (either on the left or right usually) and the
desired output in the non-black area. One page has a huge black area above a
squashed version of the desired output.
In every case, the pre-html version of the file appears perfect in Acrobat and
Apple Preview.
I think I have tried every possible combination of settings in the options list
for export from Acrobat.
I really need some help with this.
Thanks, in advance.

James,
Do you use Dreamweaver or a similar HTML editor? Only that the
translation from PDF to HTML is far from perfect for complex documents
and I would seriously recommend a different route such as .. Dreamweaver
It's all down to the way in which PDF must have something to go by in
respect structure which is typically derived from the source file and
translation method. If you're also re-generated from DPS content then it
gets even worse (and PDF generation on the mac is also lacking tags and
structure) ...

Thanks Jon.
I spent most of today working on this project. I finally settled on saving each
of the 12 pages as jpg documents and then wrote a page to feed each of the pages
in order.
I am very disappointed in Acrobat. It should be able to do this job better than
ANY other software available.
So, for now, my question is a moot point.
Thank you for your response.
