HELP! Can't Install Trial Version!!!

everytime I try to install the 30 day trial-version of AfterEffects this comes
up:

 <http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z150/00guesswho00/errormessageafx.jpg>
;

its in german an means: "Please put Adobe After Effects CS3 into your C:\
drive to proceed with the installation"

since it is the trial version that I downloaded from the website, I obviously
dont have the CD. I need this programme for one little project, so it would be
idiotic to buy the programme (also, as a student, I dont have the money). Can
anyone help?

This is a generic Microsoft installer warning that does not exactly relate to
AE. Is you system up to all the latest patches? You may need to manually
download the latest Microsoft Installer package or Internet Explorer 7. Also
clean out your temporary directories. You may simply be low on disk space and
the installer refers to a wrong program package which causes the mishap.

I think it might be because I deinstalled Internet Explorer a while ago because
it kept opening so many pop-ups. I'll re-install it and see what happens.

Ok, now I was able to install, and the start menu popped up:
 <http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z150/00guesswho00/aftereffects.jpg>

so far so good. (I says I only have 18 days left because I've tried to install
it like 3 times. I'm not sure though). However, then this pops up:
 <http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z150/00guesswho00/aftereffects2.jpg>

translated, it means:
"The license for this product has run out"

How can that be, when I haven't even installed it yet?

The installer will leave markers behind that check for the various timestamps.
Because of your problems, the logic may be broken. This is something that can
only be cleared with the official support, so call them by phone to open a
support case. They will know what to do or provide you with a temporary serial
to extend the trial period.
