No Recorder Found while trying to burn DVD

Im new to Encore CS3, I am used to using Sonic DVDit Pro 6 for my DVD authoring
needs. I am just messing around with everything trying to learn a new program.
When I click on "build", the build window opens up and in "DVD
Settings" under "Destination" it states that no recorder has been
found. I have a DVD burner, this I am sure of. It is a Lite-On Super-Multi
LH20A1H Lightscribe DVD Burner and have never had any problems burning multiple
DVDs when using the Sonic program. Now, using Encore, my DVD burner is not
recognized, therefore causing me to not be able to burn DVDs.

Thanks, Jeff. I went to the link you provided. The only piece of software that I
had on my computer was InterActual Player and, upon removal, Encore still does
not recognize my burner. I did read that on some occasions you will need to
uninstall the software and reinstall it to see if it will recognize my burner.
However, in my case, I own the production premium and have only seen an option
to uninstall the ENTIRE premium, as opposed to singling out just Encore and
uninstalling it to re-install. Any thoughts?

Is your burner on the same bus as another optical disc drive, say a DVD-ROM or
CD-ROM? Or on the same bus as (shudder) a hard disk?

If so, is the other drive the master on the bus?

If optical, you need to swap cable positions and maybe jumper settings - Encore
will only see the master device on a bus. If HDD, you have to move the burner to
its own bus.

This in not correct. Encore does see slave drives both on IDE0 and IDE1. In this
case some other software may get in the way.
