Encore Crashes Durning Build

Encore Crashes Durning Build
Tue, 11 Mar 2008 04:54:51 -070
Encore has repeatedly crashes darning the build process, it gets though the
first slideshow and half way through the second one then the program gives me a
error; Adobe Encore has encounter a problem and needs to close, Please tell
Microsoft about this problem.

I have been trying different ways to get it to work, so far I have changed the
VBR to 4, deleted the slideshows and tried them one at a time with no luck. The
movie has 3 slide shows and one PPro movie in it, all music is wav format.

My computer specs are;
•Windows XP Pro
•SP2
•ASUS M2N SLI Deluxe
•AMD 64, AM2 dual core 2.8 gig
•4 gig ram 800mhz DD2
•3 hard drives sata 300
•Free space around 400 gig
Does anyone have any clues on how to fix it, I have goggled this and all I get
is stuff on people who have hacked programs.
Thanks for your help,
John

Are you getting this error:

AppName: adobe encore.exe AppVer: 3.0.1.8 ModName: adobe encore.exe
ModVer: 3.0.1.8 Offset: 003fa73c

I experience a persistent crash when building, too. No menus, just a simple
single-track m2v video + AC3 audio, 93 minutes long.

Whether I select the Blu-ray writer, or Blu-ray folder, and also when I
"check project", Encore crashes with the above error.

I traced my problem to this:

The Menu tab had focus when I opened Encore to make a new project, so when I
dragged in my media, it was giving me a "not a PhotoShop file" error.
I quickly figured out that Encore started with the wrong part of the workflow,
so I clicked the Project tab and continued. All seemed well, until I tried to
burn.

Weird.
Sort of makes sense, but seems somehow wrong at the same time.
(The bit that makes sense is the project needing focus to import, but this
handling does seem a tad clumsy.)
