Sense code errors are almost always caused by 3rd party software interfering in
the communication between Encore and the burner. For a lost of possible culprits
have a look at the Things and Software to avoid
<http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bbe7ec0> FAQ.

Yeah I'm getting the 40803 error as well ?
Thanks for the useful post "Things and software to avoid"
Ruud but unfortunately no dice for me.

My system has very little software installed
~Adobe master suit
~cool edit pro 2
~VLC media player
~quicktime player
~software for peripherals i.e bella keyboard
~matrox RT-X2 software

Hardware is:

~Striker Extreme mother board
~4gbs G Skill ram
~2 raid o 500gb edit hds
~1 320gb os hd
~q6600 cpu
~ATI 1950 PRO 512mb gpu
~Soundmax sound card
~matrox RT-X2 card and bob

I'm thinking if I explain what is happening someone might have
had the same problem?

Encore imports the file ok starts the burn but says canceling
instead of writing?

The project is a Film Clip, the band has requested a dvd copy
so its only a 4 minute 700mb file no menus but when it goes to burn it is only
registering 64kb it goes through the 64kb starts on another 117kb half way
through that it ejects the disk and the error comes up as soon as it is
ejected?

I have done the reg hack to disable the auto run, rebooted, tried
bringing the file in all different ways i.e mpg2, avi then
transcoding in encore but no go ?

Help would be really appreciated all

I don't know the number, but I think there is a MINIMUM allowed burn size
