I don't think there will ever BE an Encore3 trial
The MPEG encoder used to create a DVD is licensed from someone else, and that
licensing fee must be paid for every install... even a free trial download

I am not sure there will ever be a tryout of just Encore CS3, because it seems
you can no longer buy it as a standalone product.

Is there a trial download of Encore CS3 available?
It is not included in the Premiere Pro CS3 trial download.
