Microsoft Runtime Error runtime

XP Pro SP2
Master collection CS3

Encore CS3 crashes during startup with Micrsoft Visuall C++ Runtime library
error.

Installation was working - not sure what has changed.

removed and reloaded the entire CS3 suite - no joy same runtime error.

Anyone have any suggestions?

You say "was working... don't know what changed"

When you have it working again, make an IMAGE of your hard drive for easy
replacement

no luck...

I have updated again windows OS via updater, also all the CS3 programs are upto
date.

still no joy

I have replaced my VGA with 21" Samsung LCD recently ...

I have and still have Windows Home Server (WHS) installed on my network (WHS
console installed on CS3 machine in question). I have never utilized the restore
featrue of the WHS - afraid to!.... I may be forced to try - seems drastic for
one application error - I don't hold out much hope with WHS restore. My router
goes into diag sometimes - think it's uPNP compatibillity issue.

All other CS3 appl's seem to start ok - just encore and it's consistantly
causing the C++ runtime error.
