| Menu - Media Pending |

I searched and nothing comes up for "media pending" on a menu in this
forum, so I figured that I would ask for help.
I have used the "Couple Menu" template in Encore. I opened it in
Photoshop, made my changes, I see the changes happen in encore... and I can see
the menu the way it is supposed to look under the menu section of Encore.
My issue is that when I preview the DVD the background of the template is gone
and says "Media Pending." All of my button changes show up so I can
still navigate through the DVD but the background is gone and shows the standard
"Media Pending" in several languages from Adobe.
What should I do to relink the background to this menu... especially since the
background is there in the Menu Section of Encore, it shows normally when I try
to edit it again in Photoshop, it even shows the background under the flowchart
of the DVD.

The background for the menu is an mpeg video. Once changes are made to the menu,
Encore will have to re-render the motion menu. Encore may also have to re-index
the mpeg video file in order to preview the menu. That's what Media Pending is
for. It doesn't indicate a broken link.
The Menu Viewer and Flowchart Panel views are merely cached static images, which
is why they display as they do.

I let it sit open for hours and nothing changes. Also, I tried closing and
reopening the project and it is still showing the same issue.
I may just try and recreate the menu (start over) and see if it happens again -
since it is a Encore template it shouldn't be to hard.

Catgirl,
I looked at the Couple.em and notice that the "background" Video is
NTSC_Couple Menu.wmv. Is that showing in your Project Panel? Is it accesible,
and what is the Transcode Status of that WMV? You should have 2 Assets appear,
when you Import/dbl-click on NTSC_Couple Menu.em. I'd suspect that there might
be a problem with the Video portion.
What is your exact workflow, regarding this Menu? You made the edit to the Menu
in PS, then did what, exactly? A Save (Ctrl-s) in PS should update in Encore,
like you observed. The link to the WMV should stay the same, and other than
needing to be Transcoded and Render(ed) Motion Menu, should work fine. It will
still be Untranscoded, until time to burn DVD.
Without the editing in PS (stock Menu), do you still get the Media Pending?
Just thinking here,
