Problem with the playlist

Problem with the playlist
Sat, 7 Jul 2007 03:30:31 -0700
I read tons of threads about playlists and chapters last night, but couldn't
find the answer to my problem.

I have a DVD project about my aunt's play (about 30+ min) with theater ending
and with video ending. So I've made one longer timeline with five chapters and
two shorter ends. I placed two buttons for the endings, which point to the
playlists with chapters and the end(s).

The problem occurs at the playback. When the last chapter ends in the longer
timeline, it doesn't begin to play the ending timeline, but it jumps to the
chapter 2 of the longer timeline! When I tried it second time, it jumped to the
chapter 3... Third try => chapter 4 and eventually it plays the correct
ending. This happens in the preview and of course, in the actual DVD.

The override setting of the buttons are "Not Set". How I edit the
chapter end actions? Can't find any "chapter options" -window.

If I understand your post correctly, you should have no overrides set anywhere
in your project and no end actions for your timelines.

Timeline A = long timeline
Timeline B = 1st possible ending
Timeline C = 2nd possbile ending

Playlist 1 = TA + TB (set end action for where you want it to go)
Playlist 2 = TA + TC (set end action for where you want it to go)

Button 1 on menu links to Playlist 1
Button 2 on menu links to Playlist 2

Thanks for your advice!

I figured it out by myself, but you did understood it correctly. My mistake was
to put every single chapter of the timeline A into the playlist(s), when only
the chapter 1 was needed. + the ending B and C.

Thanks,
