Subtitle ON OFF control

Hi,
  I have a single subtitle in a timeline...... i have created a set-up menu and
two buttons in it........ Subtitle ON and Subtitle OFF.... now, i select a
button and assign a link from Specify Other and Select a timeline with Audio and
Subtitle i need. Now in the DVD this button when clicked takes me immediately to
the Timeline....... but i dont want this to go immediately, i want it to go only
when the user selects a play button....... i want the subtitle to enable ON or
OFF....... but should not leave the menu immmediately. How should i achieve
it??
