Subtitles repeating some text

Working on 3 different DVDs that I had to Subtitle. Muddled thru it fair enough.
Kept getting the "too complex" errors so instead of 2 sentences up for
10 seconds I fixed them to be 2 subtitles of 1 sentence, up for 5 seconds- you
get the idea for demo purposes. I went back in and did this to all the slides.

Now when the client is reviewing the disks they say we are repeating the text in
the subtitle. For example, SUBTITLE 1 may read "RUN...WALK...SIT...
ANYTHING YOU CAN DO. COME ON IN". The next one SUBTITLE 2 reads "COME
ON IN. THE WEATHER IS FINE".

---COME ON IN is duplicated on both subtitles, this happens a few times on all 3
disks. Yet when I go back into ENCORE the words are not on the first subtitle,
just on the second.
