| Subtitles don't update and workarounds don't seem to work |

I also run into the problem of old subtitles being shown whilst I have updated
the subtitles. An issue apparently verified as being a problem in Encore 2.0,
but for the last 20 months not important enough for Adobe to release an update
that solves the problem (assuming we as Encore 2.0 users are important enough
for Adobe)
Last Saturday I had to have the project handed in, but now I'm paying penalties
and soon paying for the privalage. :-(
I had to change subtitles and from then on (after finding workarounds for all
other buegs) I landed in Subtitle-Hell. Regardless of what text I change or
enlarge/shorten/move on the subtitle timeline, I keep on finding that only the
original (with errors) subtitles are shown in the burned version, not the
changed version which is shown within the project.
I tried creating a new project from this project
- select save as
- Burn to folder
- Test: no change
I tried changing the leading on all subtitled timelines. (March 2006 workaround
from Adobe)
- Selecting all subtitles on the subtitle track.
- Ensure that the subtitle track is visable
- Move the position of the monitor to a position where a subtitle shows 2 lines
of text
- With all subtitles still selected change the leading from auto to 42 in the
character panel. See the change in the monitor window
- Select leading to be Auto again, thus undoing the previous change
- Repeat the above for all the 16 subtitled timelines in the project
- Go to the assets and undo the transcoding by revert to original
- With all AVI assets still selected, choose transcode now
- Wait, wait longer, wait long, wait 4,5 hours
- Save the project
- Burn DVD to folder
- Test: No change :-(
Change to a new subtitletrack
- Only did this for 1 timeline
- Create new subtitle track
- Select all subtitles in subtitle track 1
- Use the mouse to move those subtitles to subtitle track 2
- Delete the (now empty) first subtitle track
- Change the language of the now first and only track from English to Dutch
- Save the project
- Burn to folder
- Test: No change :-(((
Can anybody either tell me what I've done wrong or does anybody have a better
workaround (removing some cache files?) or does anybody know a place where to
download an Encore 2.00.01 which solved this issue?
Thank you all in advance!!!!

Ok, I stand corrected. The first option (leading) I tried myself and didn't
work, but the second solution was tried by a collegue. He however, didn't do as
I had instructed. When I tried it myself, the second solution worked.
