Choosing subtitle for all timelines

Choosing subtitle for all timelines

I am using Adobe Encore DVD 2.0

I've managed to get subtitles on the timelines I want now, after a lot of
workarounds. Reading through the help file, though, I can only find the option
to make a subtitle button that links to a specific timeline and chapter, with
the desired subtitle track.

What I want to have is a button that says "Hear ye, hear ye! All timelines
shalt now use the specified subtitle track until further notice!", like
they have on pretty much all DVD's made since forever.

Did Subtitle Workshop do the trick for you? Whether it did or not, please post
your results back in your other topic so that others may benefit from your
experience.

Thanks for your replies, Jeff. Yes, I will definately post results there when I
found out if it works or not =)

What you're describing seemed to work at first. The subtitle stayed the same for
that timeline when accessing it from the main menu "play" button,
after having once chosen to start it from "play timeline with
subtitle" button first.

For whatever reason though, when tried playing another timeline, the other
subtitle track was chosen and played English subtitles were there should be
Swedish (and yepper, you bet I've made sure to use the same ST track for the
same language in all timelines).

I hope I'm making myself clear enough =P
