up and down button

I am using encore sc3
my problem:
in a submenu there are 5 mov. there are also two buttons "next" and
"previous". what I want is to toggle between the 5 movies. but how ?
with which action should I provide the buttons ?
if button 2 is highlighted "next" should go to button 3
if button 5 is highlighted "next" should go to button 1

I am wondering if you actually understand how things work in DVD.
You do *not* set button routing in this manner at all.
"Next" & "Previous" buttons on the remote are used for
going from one timeline to the next, or if you are allowed to script it, from
one menuy to the next.
Not from one button to the next!!!!!

Please go back to your manuals, and study the basics.
I can also highly recommend the book "Focal Press Easy Guide to
EncoreDVD".

yes you are right - it is the first time I do this with encore cs3
and I have a lot of problems. this is the reason why I am in such a forum and
why I am searching in the help files from encore

the message I got with this buttons is "connection is not configured"

I'm just guessing here, but it sounds like you are talking about the buttons on
the menu itself, the "next" and "previous" buttons, (NOT the
buttons on the remote control) correct?

Those menu buttons are to move from one submenu to the next, not to move from
one video button to another. The users will use their remote control to advance
from one button to the next with the 4 arrow keys (up, down, left, right). For
users on a computer, they will simply mouse over whichever movie button they are
interested in viewing.
