I have 16x9 video shot on a sony z1 (in dv) I can't get encore to import it,
I've looking in all the menus but there doesn't seem to be anywhere to tell it I
have 16x9 video.
dose encore import 16x9 video?

Yes, Encore imports 16x9 video.

thanks for posting back..
it is an .avi file and its 1024x576 25fps
trying to import this in to cs2 comes up with he following
cannot import video files for this project must have a resolution of 720x576
I thort this was the 4.3 ratio , and that I could select the 16.9 ratio or that
the program would recoginse it is a 16.9 clip?

1024x576 px is not an anamorphic resolution for digital video.

ok how do I get this?
we are capturing with prem 6.5 of a sony z1e which has been set to dv 50i wide
screen.
1024x576 is what prem tells me the file is!
I just found out that it is square pixels.
