I can't believe this question hasn't been answered? I too have the same problem
and sure would liked to have seen replies.

Hi Ruud
First, the stills are imported in PPCS2 with the Prefs set at 'scale to frame
size'. This is suppose to bring the still in but resized (aspect ratio) to fit
correctly in a frame, in Premier (or so I thought). The stills look great in PP
and fit the frame properly and are sharp. I then export that timeline as an avi.
I import that avi into Encore DVD 2.0 and the stills look slightly zoomed in and
unsharp. "Out of focus". As for their pixel size, 2816x2112 or
1280x960, various sizes. I never paid attention to that because of being under
the impression that Premier Pro addressed that issue when you imported stills
into it.
Sorry for the delay in my response but was out of town. Thanks for your
comments. Have you got more for me now that you have this new information?

Pierre,
Based on your first post I thought that you had gone directly from Photoshop to
Encore and were possibly comparing how the images looked in PS to what came out
in Encore. A comparison of a full-sized still to a video-sized one wouldn't have
been fair. :)
