Slideshow Creation

I looked forever and could not find the answer. SO here it goes. I was using
Premiere Elements 3.0 to create slideshows not hundreds but a decent handful.
Then I discovered the "Ken Burns Effect" Panning & Zooming which I
love in Encore 2.0 the problem I'm having is that I would like to at least add a
picture background to the Slideshow to eliminate the default black background
(most noticable in vertical pics) preferably a video background, I can do both
photo or video background in Premiere Elements 3.0. Or at least some direction
in how to change the color from black to some other color.

Any ideas. I gave up searching I need help...if of course its even possible.

Sorry, but it's not possible with Encore alone.
