audio for playlist of slideshows?

I have 19 short slideshows in a playlist - is there a way of adding single 
audio track to playlist instead of short bits of audio on each individual 
slideshow in the playlist?

Only if you montage them all together in an NLE such as Premiere.
Otherwise, you cannot do this.

I agree Neil, I started off that way but got fed up putting interesting (but 
not overboard!) transitions between the images - which Encore does with 
Pan&Zoom - always?(g) getting it right.

Now I may be wrong but I think the slideshow in Encore, (tho' I understand 
the transitions get rendered into a "movie"), are smaller than the
ones 
exported from PPro as .avi or somesuch.

As I was running out of room on a 4.7gb DVD I stuck with the Encore route, 
which just made it at very good quality for the main (2hr) video, with 1.5 
mb to spare.

Years ago, I now remember making a few dozen presets in PPro that emulated 
the pan&zooms in Encore - now how simple would that be to include in PPro? -

now where did I put them?? (g)
