Capability question

I'm trying to find out what editing programs might have this capability:

We want to record with three cameras, all facing directly forward, with
overlapping fields of view, then in the editing process stitch the three views
together into one very wide view, and select the best rectangle from that. We
realize we will also have to have a time code with each camera's output to
synchronize the video by time, so the correct frames will be stitched together.

It can do it, but I am not at all certain of what the results might be. Give it
a try.
