Attempting to get comfortable with the multicam tools I'm following a tutorial
here:
<http://premiere.digitalmedianet.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=36989>
After dragging selected clips into the designated sequence and selecting them
all, a right click should show a `synchronize' menu item but in my case it is
greyed out. (see screen shot here:
. <http://www.jtan.com/~reader/web_ready/disp.cgi>
(Note the atrocious green arrow pointing at greyed out item.
According to the tutorial `synchronize' should be selectable.
Any guesses as to why it isn't

Your link is for CS3 version but I think I'm in the 2.0 forum?
At any rate, I did add some markers in some places but not all clips since some
were easily set like they need to be.
Still no synchronize item. Even worse, after synching by hand, and dragging the
MultiCamSource sequence into MultiCamTarget sequence. I now have no menu item to
enable muticam on right click.
I've found the help file is really confusing on the subject of multi-cam so have
been using a tutorial linked to your wiki to supplement.
This has happened to me several times now as I go thru the tutorial at:
<http://premiere.digitalmedianet.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=36989-1>
I've found that if I just go ahead and create the multicam monitor by clicking
on program monitor flyout item for multicam, then once the Multicam monitor is
created and present, a right click on the newly created MultiCamTarget sequence
timeline now shows a muti-cam item with the enable sub menu.
I suspected I was missing some step in there so went over the tutorial several
times. I have followed the order laid out there very carefully but still at the
synchronize point my menu item is greyed out. As is the Multi-cam menu item in
the later step of enabling the MultiCamTarget sequence.
After hand synching. Moving clips into MulticamTarget sequence. Create Multi-Cam
monitor. Even then if I go back to the MultiCamSource sequence and right click
the Synchronize item is still inactive.

The CS3 help is essentially the same as in PPro 2.0 in this area. Unfortunately
I do not yet have CS3 so I cannot try to reproduce your problems. Hopefully
someone else will chime in.
I do find it mysterious that you cannot successfully duplicate the tutorial.
Cheers
