Hi!
I had never had any issue with importing files into Premier....until now.
I shooted some video with a point-and-shoot camera (Canon Powershot SD870 IS)
and the video is in format .avi, 640x480, MJPG and PCM audio compression and
CanonMVI06 codec (apparently). The bitrate is 998kbps.
Premier keeps telling me that the file has an unsupported compression in file. I
haven't had any trouble viewing the files and also I was able to import them
into Windows Movie Maker without any problem.

So far, all the videos from still cameras I have had to deal with, have easily
been converted with the use of QuickTime Pro.

Thank you so much, both Eddie and Dag.
I've used Quicktime Pro to convert the video into DV AVI, and I understood why
Premier had a tough one with it.
