The relevant characters are all symbols, so they are not encoded as A-Z
characters....

How did you install the font? It should be located in the same place on your
computer as your other fonts you use in Photoshop.

You could use the OS X Character Palette; alternatively, you'd want to use the
old Type 1 version of the font.
