| Corrupt Zapfino font? |

At work, I use a Mac G5 with OS 10.3.9 and Suitcase 11 (or is it 10?). In the
past year, I have used Zapfino on perhaps three occasions and it worked
perfectly. Today it didn't. Googling found that Zapfino is a font supposedly
included with OSX.

First, be aware that "Font Doctor" misses some bad fonts.

Ramon
I have become aware that Font Doctor misses some bad fonts as, since running it,
there are still some fonts that passed as satisfactory but are unusable (usually
missing the printer component).

Lyn,
Are you really telling me it is not possible to reinstall a corrupt font
from the original installation disk without third party software? That's
ridiculous.
Well, you can always do an "Archive and Install" of the entire OS over
your current Operating System install, but that does smack of overkill just to
get back a single font.
Yes, the way Apple has handled fonts ever since the very beginning is
ridiculous, as you put it. I agree with that. That's why ATM was such a godsend.
Too bad it was abandoned by Adobe.

Also, Lyn, I just looked at my Mac OS Tiger 10.4.6 installation disk, both in
the Finder and through Pacifist, and there's no sign of Zapfino there.
