It's rough, but it looks like a font to me rather than real handwriting. Not
that it's necesarily a very *good* font....

The image looks like a photo or scan of machine-embroidered lettering.

This can be done in four basic ways:

1) A "font" built-in to a sewing machine

2) A "font" built-in to an embroidery program

3) A set of individual lettering designs (equivalent to a graphic 
alphabet)

4) An installed computer font (TrueType only!) used by an embroidery 
program.

The output using thread and stitches will not look the same as a 
600dpi printer!

Some of the designs and built-in fonts are based on available 
typefaces, while others are uniquely created.
