Hey, jones. It may be tough trying to remember back to 2004 - I don't think
it had a 'repair' option in the control panel -> add/remove programs like
later versions do. So a complete reinstall would be a hassle that would be
nice to avoid if possible. 2004 also is no longer supported by adesk, so
you probably would not be able to get any updates/patches if there were any
needed there. I don't think I've even saved any. I'm not even positive
2004 had profiles (type OPTIONS at the command line to access CAD profile
info), but if it does check all the support paths and all the tabs that
might have any pathing info for any dead paths; paths that don't exist.
That'll cause seemingly random slowness in CAD, probably not just with
copyclipping, tho.
Maybe check the swap file size on one of the computers that do not have this
problem. adesk recommends setting that yourself [rather than having it set
by Windows] to a value = 2 to 3X your RAM - so in your case set to 3000.
Do the computers that don't have the problem have better video cards? higher
RAM?
Yes, it looks a lot like it's pointing to the Key Terra Firma add-on as the
problem. To check you can save her current CAD profile (OPTIONS, Profiles
tab, Export), create a new profile, set it current and remove any paths in
support tab that point to the terra firma paths. Restart CAD and make sure
terra firma doesn't work (if a TF command works, an uninstall of TF may be
necessary).
Try copyclip again.
Maybe before doing all that, contact the terra firma people and see if they
have experienced the issue with other CAD users on 2004, and if they have
anybody who might know if ctl-c combination interferes or alternatively
accesses their app in any way.
Good luck.

Hi,
Thanks for the replies.
Dave - The user is using the windows clipboard and not AutoCAD's copy
commands.
PC spec is approx 3ghz intel P4, 1GB ram (windows managed pagefile -
although I did manually set to 1.5 gb but problem was still present), 80gb
HDD with plenty of room and 100meg network card.
All windows updates applied, not sure if/whether there are AutoCAD updates
to apply.
The user doesn't get the error if she logs onto another PC and acesses the
same drawing and no other users are getting the error on this or other
drawings.
Repair? Do you mean AutoCAD repair via add/remove programs or another method
I'm not familiar with?
Also I don't understand what you mean by dead paths in her profile, could
you please elaborate? And when you mention customisation, do you mean add on
packages like the user mentioned further down in the post (key terra firma)?
Dean - how do I "UNINSTALL and repair reinstall of your AutoCAD
seat."?
