I've been told by autodesk that this error message occurs in earlier versions of
AutoCAD when opening files saved down from the newer versions. This is a
necessary procedure for me to send files to consultants or others who do not
have a newer version.
An ARX_ERROR ( eNotThatKindOfClass or eDuplicateKey) happens (to me) when
cutting from a 2005 file (saved down in 2008) and pasting into the saved down
2005 file. Autocad then locks up.
There are hotfixes (Autodesk 2005 OE Hotfix) for the earlier versions. The
Hotfix helps but a message will still display however the program will continue
with an "OK" click.
There must be a simple way to purge out all the 2008 proxy objects that reside
in the saved down files.
Anyone heard of any?
