PLC addresses are not line reference based. The PLC tag can be. The
addresses and rack/slot assignments are assigned by the user on insert.
Treat these like terminal blocks. If you copy a circuit with terminal
blocks the terminal blocks to not change their strip ID or terminal number,
unless they are the type that assume the wire number. The PLC rack/slot and
address assignments are no different. There are just some things that we
designers will still have to do. If Acad/E reaches a point where it can
figure these things out on its own, we are in danger of being replaced.

Hi,
I have saved a PLC schematic circuit to a icon menu. When I insert these to
my drawings it updates the component tags normally but not the PLC addresses
so I have duplicate slot -addresses...What's wrong??? I'm using ACADE2009.

Regards
