Go ahead and let it insert the new balloon. If you have an item number
assigned to the Multiple catalog entries it should insert the additional
balloon(s) while replacing the old. I have a video I shot that shows how to
do this. If you want it, give me your e-mail address and I will send it.

Thanks for your reply.
When i tried the things that you have mentioned,it didnt work.
Let me explain what i did.
1) I selected the per part number basis (excluding assycode combinations)
from the Item numbering setup dialog box (that is in component tab >Project
properties dialog box)
2) Then i inserted the balloon in footprint.
3) Then, i right-clicked the same footprint and selected the edit footprint;
the Panel layout -component insert/edit dialog box. I selected the multiple
catalog button from Catalog data area, and then i inserted different item
number in the item number edit box in the multiple bill of material
information dialog box
4) Then again, i selected the insert balloon tool; it displays a message
"This component already has a balloon attached.delete existing and insert
new one" in the Existing item balloon dialog box.
So, please let me how can i insert second balloon to the same footprint. Am
i doing anything wrong.
I am using ACADE 2009.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
